08–15–2023 — Tomb | Lif3 Tuesday: Update 101
My fellow Tomb Raiders, Happy Tomb | Lif3 Tuesday,
You blink your eyes, and it’s the middle of August already. The team is doing all they can to integrate LayerZero for the Lif3 ecosystem and bring areas of the protocol back online. I understand this has been a long process, and I thank you all for your patience during these times. There is no playbook for these types of events, and we are doing everything we can to protect and strengthen the protocol for the future.
The market saw its first bounce, albeit small, for the first time in three weeks. We have some pivotal confluence that remains below our current price action, and it remains to be seen whether that will need to be tested or not. A global economic shift is happening in the background, and analysts across the board continue to be laser-focused on a few key parameters.

Timelines:
- Super-Short-Term: Days, Weeks, < 1 Month
- Short-Term: 1 to 2 Months
- Mid-Term: 3 to 6 Months

Lif3 Swap Updates:
New features are being worked on for all parts of Lif3. The next feature to be added to Lif3 will be a new token list feature. Always striving for the convenience and quality of Lif3, this new token list should help boost the user experience and create a more organized and custom feel for all users.
Lif3 Wallet Updates:
While on the topic of UI/UX, another update is coming soon that will boost Lif3 Wallets’ capabilities and increase its user experience. Derived wallets are coming to Lif3 Wallet soon. A derived wallet is a wallet that shares a parent seed phrase. Consider derived wallet as children wallets or sub-accounts stemming from an original parent wallet. This can be beneficial in a number of ways. Consider the convenience of unlocking five wallets with the same phrase, but each wallet has a specific role, such as farming, payments out, payments received, trading, and long-term holds.
The Path Forward:
Work continues on the LayerZero integration. We have some new contracts that the team has worked on. We have conducted some tests already to help ensure a smooth transition from previous bridging solutions. The token swapper is getting closer to release. Everything is headed in the right direction.
Lif3 Chain Coming Soon:
Lif3 Chain remains a lesson in patience and determination. With resources going more toward restoring the Lif3 protocol with the power of LayerZero, we had to pump the brakes a bit on Lif3 Chain. There is no reason at all to rush this out and we want to make sure there is a smooth launch.
